While we wait for the Borefest to restart on the 23rd, an interesting thing to note is the number of players from the "minority" communities playing in each team.
For India we have Munaf patel, Zaheer Khan, the Pathan brothers(Irfan has been included in the 15-man squad, but not sure if he will actually take the field), & Bhajji. If what I hear is correct - Yuvi's mom is Muslim and Dad a Sikh- then we have 6 players in the Indian team who are non-Hindus. (I wonder if this has ever happened before)
Meanwhile the English have Ravi Bopara and Samit Patel (Indian parents) and Owais Shah (of Pakistani origin). Plus their captain was once a South African.
Also, interesting is that none of these people is a "quota" player (which would have been ironic in case of KP since he left SA *because* of the quota policy). All of them have come up thru the system due to sheer hard-work and talent.
Nice.
Welcome move to get Dravid

7 Maidens bowled!!:
Patel, Bopara and Shah are there for quota purposes, so that white comentators can say wristy alot when England play.
Aah! I see.
Explains why Sunny keeps saying "Bell is wristy" (just to get back at those white comms).
:-)
The very first Indian team had 6 non-Hindus and a total of 9 non-Hindus in the squad.
