All authoritative n' all.
Should I apologize for all the hate I've been dishing to Kallis? Maybe.
Meantime Uthappa came good. Good.
I have to confess I took a strategic timeout when I saw Jaffer on the field? And giggled. Not a Shetty giggle, but a wth nervous giggle.
Yenappa? Jaffer yake T20 adake?(Apologies to the digas if I butchered their language.)
Mumbai was off-color today. Pata nahi kyun
Kay jhala?Anyway, like I said to a reader, its almost legal to hope for BRC victories now.
Ciao.
P.S Will go and watch the KXIP v. KKR match. How close was that?
P.P.S I must mention that SMG should stop bullying Danny Morrison; y'day it was about Dhoni being "freaky", today it was about the term "french cut"... arrey he is a Kiwi, not an Aussie- we like them people SMG, we like them.
8 Maidens bowled!!:
I just wonder if this whole IPL is fixed - ala WWE :) I mean how else can someone explain the Royal thrashing of MI by RCB ??? :) :) :)
Jokes apart - good on RCB. Now the tournament is so wide open - it's down to who plays well on each day wins and takes a big step to the semis. Fun times ahead !
p.s : you know what's better than seeing MI getting thrashed, having SMG and RS having to commentate when it happens :) :) Pure bliss...
TG,
Fun times ahead indeed!
RS is still OK. SMG takes it tooo personally. He pouts and he pouts and he pouts!
Somebody wake me up. I dreamt that Kallis can bat AND bowl in T20 mode, that Uthappa is not total crap, that a new kid on the block has added teeth to BRC's bowling (Steyn who??), that BRC can win despite Jaffer.
On second thought don't. Let the dream continue.
Leela, Ravi Shastri is not ok. That shouting, loud nonsense, "spinning like a spitting cobra" cliche nonsense. I mean, have you seen a cobra? Have you seen a spitting cobra? Have you seen a spitting cobra spinning like a cricket ball? What an idiot, repeating some random cliche he learnt somewhere without understanding what it meant.
Then, the other day there was this classic. Batsman drives towards covers. Kishen Kanhaiya goes "Good shot". So far so good. The fielder misfields . Now, the ex-Mr.Amrita Singh amends, "Very good shot, as though the misfield magically altered the quality of the stroke :-)
Ravi Shastri is living off his reputation - once upon a time, he was tolerable. If he were a senior Indian player, people will be calling for his retirement and infusion of young blood.
".
Adverbin,
LOl. Dream away!!
Raj,
I was comparing Ravi to SMG, specifically wrt to MI; when MI loses SMG is intolerable, RS at least masks his emotions.
As far as cliches go, most comms are guilty.
True, but Ravi Shastri changing his opinion on a shot based on a misfield - how many commentators including SMG do that?
TRue Raj. Not many. Well maybe a few ;-)
