The English comms dropping the "F"-word during today's England v. Scotland encounter.
Arrey baba not that word. Chee chee.
I meant Flintoff.
They are still talking about him. Hmm.
And someone commented that Majid Haq and Indian bowler Romesh Powar are similar ... you know not in terms of their spin bowling, but their physical appearance (read "girth"). Hmm.
Must've made Powar's day. And offended Haq.
Speaking of Haq, they kept calling him "Hack". Which was funny, especially when Nasser H said it.
I was supposedly working on some work stuff, and not watching the match. But thatz what I overheard.
Meanwhile CI tells me that KP spares England's blushes.
OK. (LOL... Sorry. But that was funny. Now if Ind lose to Ban, you may blame it on my bad karma. Umm... No pls don't.)
Ready for the IND-PAK encounter?
I am.

11 Maidens bowled!!:
Long time no see your blog.
Well Flinty is an amazing player and so is KP but KP just sucks on ice (when it comes to T20).
And who isn't ready for India versus Pakistan. I heard that all the revenue that BCCI are getting from this match will go to the policemen who lost their lives in Lahore attack on Sri Lanka.
Cheers,
CPD,
Yeah they are doing a noble thing there with the money.
I hope the match is fun and close.
:-)
I hope so to Leela,
BTW, I used one of your old posts in my blog...the one where Clarke talks to Lara......Anyway..I gave your link below...and thanks...
Forget all what has happened thus far in the Ind- Pak match - weird one. Indians getting whacked all over and then suddenly three wickets! Ah well.
For me the high point ? Thus far the dork Bhimani doesn't seem to be commentating :) I hope I'm not proved wrong and he suddenly turns up!
Leela
It was David Lloyd who made the Haq/Powar comparison and it's a fair one :)
As to England - I think they are on for a hiding to nothing in the tournament. Even with Flintoff ( who'se over rated IMHO - he was decent for couple of years 2003-05 and that was that !), they would get beaten out of sight by Ind/SAf/Aus..
CPD,
NP.
TG,
I missed the mini collapse.
:-(
The reason why Flintoff is (over)rated is because he shows spirit while playing; unlike Harmisson and Anderson.
(I am speaking of matches held outside England.)
The other two were pedestrian in India last year. Flintoff at least seemed like he wanted to win.
But I agree, he is past his prime.

Maybe it's because i'm so Anti English - but this whole thing about Flintoff and his spirit is all bull c**p to me. All those so called experts go on and on about how Flintoff gives it all on the field.
Flintoff can't and shouldn't ever be compared to Botham. It grates when the likes of Atherton/Nasser et al say Flintoff and Botham in the same sentence.
Botham was the greatest thing that ever happened to England. Flintoff is slightly better than the likes of Cork, Defreitas, Lewis..
For me Flintoff is like the wolf in the grand old fable of Wolf and three pigs - the wolf huffs and puffs but the house didn't fall down :)
Cheers Leela!
TG,
Flintoff is like the wolf in the grand old fable of Wolf and three pigs
:-)
Perhaps it says a lot about the present England team that even a not-quite-fit Flintoff elicits such strong responses.
NC,
:-)
