Exactly. Sometimes you just do. No logic to it.
You see a cricketer who you fall in like with despite their flaws, and you accept them warts n' all.
(Er... ewww.... not those warts people!! Really! Tch tch.)
That is how it is with Symonds for me. I like Roy. What a great potential. What a star.
Walked onto the pitch and just took over due to his sheer presence. Great talent too.
Pity that long list of misdemeanours and all that monkeying around.
Is it the beginning of the end? Sure looks like it. And that is just a lump of sh*t situation. It is.
Sigh.

It's definitely the end for Roy. Wonder where it all started to go wrong with him - the 2005 bender incident ? the 2007-8 tour of India, or Sydney 2008.
CA - the idiots brought him back to the squad way too early after each misdemeanour. Would love to ask them - why such a long stick for Roy and not for Warne ?? Darned idiots ....
One of the potential game breakers to take Aus all the way to the T20 cup is now gone. So who'll step up ?
Ironic - remember the last time Aus was rocked by a star player heading home before a WC ? 2003. Warne heads home - Aus in deep strife at 53/4 against Pak in Joburg in the opening match and who steps up ? ROY !!!!
Sigh , a talent wasted.......
TG,
Talent wasted indeed. And the thing is Australia looks like such a boring squad right now without Roy.
Pup is ewww so is Ricky.
:-(
Pity he did not learn form his mistakes..you can only help those who want to help themselves...
Maybe he doesn't care that much about cricket anymore...
Its a real shocker for Australian cricket.. symmos had an aura unparalleled by any other player... but this will be advantageous for India.. But i agree... we have lost one of the greatest natural cricket talents..
Megha,
Yeah it is a pity. I was wondering like why does he not care about his cricket?
Perhaps he is unable to handle fame...
Always,
Shocker indeed.
Welcome BTW.
